Intended purpose
The External Trial Stimulator is a part of the Nevro Spinal Cord Stimulation System which is intended to aid in the management of chronic intractable pain of the trunk and/or limbs. It is used during the trial phase to determine if a patient will respond to spinal cord stimulation therapy.
Functional description
The external trial stimulator is a battery operated device capable of delivering the same stimulation parameters as the implantable pulse generator. It is connected to the lead or lead extensions by means of the OR cable. The patient can control the amplitude of the stimulation or activate/deactivate stimulation by using the buttons on the front.
