Intended purpose
The Blazer Dx-20 Catheter is intended for temporary use in electrophysiology studies for intracardiac stimulation (pacing) and/or recording of electrical potentials.
Functional description
Blazer Dx-20 is a bi-directional steerable catheter with 20 electrodes used for endocardial stimulation/pacing/recording. It has a steering lever, adjustable tension control wheel, and a tip that can be deflected to facilitate advancement. It is inserted via the vasculature percutaneously or by cut down. A quick connect or lead tip pin of the connector is connected to appropriate electronic recording equipment. For pacing the catheter is connected to an external pulse stimulator.
