Intended purpose

A non-sterile, reusable device designed to determine the appropriate size and placement of an implant for a patient prior to or during surgery. It is typically available as an individual metal plate corresponding to the size of the implant to be used and is placed within the patient's body to aid the surgeon in final selection of implant size, placement and/or adaption or may be placed over an x-ray of the patient.
