Intended purpose

HaemoCerTM is an adjunct haemostatic agent for use in surgical procedures, when control of bleeding from capillary, venous, or arteriolar vessels by pressure, ligature and other conventional procedures is either ineffective or impractical. HaemoCer is also indicated when the formation of post-operative adhesions is to be prevented following surgical interventions in cavities with a mesothelial lining.

Functional description

Hydrophilic particles that rapidly absorb water from blood & initiate dehydration process. Platelets,blood cells & blood proteins are concentrated, accelerating natural haemostasis. In contact to blood,haemostatic powder forms gel matrix that acts as instant barrier against further bleeding,independent of patients clotting status.Absorption requires several days & depends amongst others on amount applied & site of use.Applicator’s singleuse,flexible,manual apparatus designed to deliver powder.
