PerClot Standard XL - Surgical plant polysaccharide haemostatic agent

Intended purpose

Indicated for use in surgical procedures (except neurological and ophthalmic) or injuries as an adjunct haemostat when control of bleeding from capillary, venous, or arteriolar vessels by pressure, ligature, and other conventional means is either ineffective or impractical.

Functional description

The device is composed of Absorbale Modified Particles (AMP) made from starch and delivery applicators. When AMP particles contact blood, the hydrophilic and adhesive properties can concentrate blood,resulting in instant clotting. In the meantime the "AMP-blood coagulation matrix" has strong adhesive characteristics which can adhere and seal the wound tissue and stop bleeding,resulting in hemostasis
