Intended purpose

The laparoscopic procedure pack includes instruments, the AbsorbaTack fixation device and surgical mesh intended for laparoscopic hernia repair procedures.

Functional description

The laparoscopic procedure pack includes the AbsorbaTack fixation device with absorbable tacks. The tack is constructed of an absorbable synthetic polyester copolymer derived from lactic and glycolic acid and is dyed with D&C violet No 2. The device is offered with 10,15,20 or 30 absorbable tacks with a long shaft and 20 with a short shaft. The packs contain trocars, cannulas and a retrieval pouch and is available with or without anti-fog solution and surgical mesh.
