Intended purpose

The ECHELON procedure pack contains surgical and endoscopic instruments intended for various open or minimally invasive surgeries in general, urologic, thoracic, and pediatric procedures for resection, transection and/or creation of anastomosis. It may be used for transection and resection of liver parenchyma (hepatic vasculature and biliary structures), pancreas, kidney and spleen.

Functional description

The procedure pack contains Echelon Endoscopic Linear Cutter Reloads with Gripping Surface Technology used with endoscopic linear cutters for cutting and stapling tissue between two rows in multiple open or endoscopic/minimally invasive surgical procedures. It can be used with staple line or tissue buttressing materials. The pack also contains instruments for cutting or controlling bleeding of soft tissues or blood vessels
