Intended purpose

The XVAC is intended to be used within the XTRA system for vacuum application during intraoperative and/or post-operative cell salvage, aimed at autotransfusion. The use of the device for intraoperative cell salvage is intended to aspirate blood from the surgical field for subsequent blood processing. The use of the device for post-operative cell salvage is intended to aspirate blood from surgical wound drains for subsequent blood processing.
