Glycolon - Suture, absorbable

Intended purpose

Surgical sutures specially developed for various indications with short wound healing; e.g for intracutaneous skin closure, in plastic surgery, in gynaecology and obstetrics, in urology and dental surgery.

Functional description

A monofilament suture designed to be threaded through skin or tissue to hold the edges of a wound together to permit healing. Designed to lose half its tensile strength after about 7-9 days and be fully absorbed by the body at about 42 days.
