Intended purpose

A sterile, monofilament thread made of poliglecaprone, an absorbable synthetic material of low tissue reactivity that is used to join the edges of a wound or incision by stitching, or for soft-tissue ligation. It is typically applied to incisions or wounds that do not require a permanent or long-term suture. It comes in a variety of lengths and may be supplied with a needle. This is a single-use device. Indication: General soft tissue approximation and or ligation, especially in general surgery,skin closure,plastic surgery,Gastrointestinal surgery,gyeaecology and Urology.

Functional description

Surgicryl Monofast has excellent tissue support and minimal tissue reaction. The monofiliament with microscopic uniform diameter, allows for soft passage through the tissue without sawing, tissue drag and traumatism. The hydralytic action by which the materila is broken down results in a total absorption in approximately 90-120 days.
