Intended purpose
The Quill Monoderm Knotless Tissue-Closure Device is indicated for use in soft tissue approximation where the use of absorbable sutures is appropriate.
Functional description
The Quill Monoderm knotless tissue closure device is a synthetic absorbable monofilament suture prepared from a co-polymer of glycolide and e-caprolactone. The device consists of barbed suture material armed with a surgical needle on each end. The barbs allow for tissue approximation without the need to tie surgical knots.
