Intended purpose

DemeDIOX polydioxanone monofilament synthetic absorbable sutures are indicated for use in general soft tissue approximation including use in paediatric cardiovascular tissue where growth is expected to occur and ophthalmic surgery. DemeDIOX is not indicated for use in adult cardiovascular tissue, microsurgery and neural tissue.

Functional description

DemeDIOX absorbable polydioxanone sutures have been formulated to provide wound support through an extended healing period. Absorption is essentially complete within seven to eight months.
