Intended purpose

Absorbable Polydioxanone Suture with needle is indicated to fixate subdermal tissue in an elevated position in plastic or reconstructive surgery for patient after surgery damage, or an accident, traffic or similar accident.

Functional description

This device is intended to fixate the sub dermal tissue in an elevated position in plastic and reconstructive surgery. These sutures are useful where the combination of an absorbable suture and extended wound support (up to 6 weeks) is desirable. The skin reacts to the PDO threads and an inflammatory reaction is induced resulting in collagen formation around each thread inserted into the skin.
