Suture PDO USP 2-0 - Suture, polydioxanone

Intended purpose

The suture consists of a doublepointed needle that has a PDO thread attached in the middle. The thread is a sterile synthetic absorbable monofilament suture made from the polyester poly(p-dioxanone). The Suture is intended to be used with a specialist applicator intended to be used together for closing the abdominal wall after open surgery.

Functional description

A polydioxanone monofilament suture anchored to the centre of a double pointed straight pledget . This suture is designed to be used with the specific suture passer “SutureTOOL”. The suture is intended for abdominal wall closure after laparotomy.
