Intended purpose
This is a sterile thread made from polyglycolic acid that is used to join the edges of a wound or incision by stitching. Indications SurgicrylPGA: General soft tissue approximations and or ligation,especiallin in general surgery, skin closures,Gastrointestinal surgery, Gynaecology,Obstetrics, Plastic surgery,Urology,Opthalmic surgery and orthopaedics.
Functional description
This is a coated multifilament that allows soft passge through the tissues with minimal sawing, tissue grad and traumatism. It has good knot tie down/adjustibility and reduced capillary action. The hydrolic action by which the material is broken down results in a total absorption in approximately 60-90 days.
