Intended purpose

Intended for use in general soft tissue approximation and/or ligation, including use in opthalmic surgery.

Functional description

This device is a braided synthetic absorbable suture composed of a polyglycolic acid PGA coated with Polycaprolactone and calcium stearate. The material is dyed violet or undyed. AssuCryl is available in different sizes and lengths, with and without needles. Absorption is complete within 60 and 90 days.
