Trocar sleeve

Intended purpose

A metal sleeve that is typically used together with a trocar, when assembled forms a compact instrument for puncturing body cavities. It is used in minimal invasive lap procedures. After insertion the trocar is withdrawn from the sleeve providing a working channel. The sleeve, ,will typically be provided with shut-off valves and sealing devices e.g. seals/rings, caps, valves, to inhibit leakage of gas when the abdomen is distended but allow the entry of other instruments.
