Intended purpose
The Echo Fx Hip Femoral Stem is part of the Echo Hip System and is intended for use in total or hemi hip arthroplasty. Indications for use: 1. Noninflammatory degenerative joint disease including osteoarthritis and avascular necrosis. 2. Rheumatoid arthritis 3. Correction of functional deformity 4. Treatment of non-union, femoral neck fracture, and trochanteric fractures of the proximal femur with head involvement, unmanageable using other techniques. 5. Revision of previously failed total hip arthroplasty.
Functional description
Femoral stem component of hip joint replacement prosthesis with reduced proximal profile and standard offset. The reduced neck geometry allows for increased ROM and decreased neck impingement. Made from forged cobalt chromium alloy with Interlok finish. For cemented or cementless use.
