Intended purpose

For severe knee pain & disability due to Rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, traumatic arthritis, polyarthritis. Collagen disorders &/or avascular necrosis of femoral condyle. Post-traumatic loss of joint configuration particularly when there is patellofemoral erosion, dysfunction or prior patellectomy. Moderate valgus, varus, or flexion deformities. Salvage of previously failed surgical attempts or for a knee in which satisfactory stability in flexion cannot be obtained at the time of surgery

Functional description

Precoate femoral component of the NexGen® Flex fixed bearing semiconstrained, nonlinked condylar knee prostheses system designed to have a maximum active flexion of 155 degrees. The component has an nextended posterior condyle radius, which provides greater tibio-femoral contact area in deep flexion. Manufactured from Zimaloy Cobalt-Chromium-Molybdenum alloy, with a poly(methylmethacrylate) [PMMA] precoat. Indicated for cemented use only.
