Intended purpose

The CS/CR femoral component is part of the Evolution Medial-Pivot (MP) Knee System, and is intended to replace the distal femur. Indicated for use in knee arthroplasty in skeletally mature patients with the following conditions: 1) noninflammatory degenerative joint disease including osteoarthritis, traumatic arthritis, or avascular necrosis; 2) inflammatory degenerative joint disease including rheumatoid arthritis.

Functional description

A nonporous cemented knee femoral component used for either cruciate substituting or cruciate retaining TKRs. It is designed to articulate with UHMWPE tibial and, if required, UHMWPE patellar prosthetic components of the knee joint. This device has a constant radius design with central pegs and an anatomic, recessed patellar groove with bone conserving preparation.
