- GMDN category: Uncoated knee femur prosthesis
Intended purpose
Femoral component of the Endo-Model Sled Prosthesis system indicated for treatment minimally invasive knee implant surgical technique for early stages of unicompartmental osteoarthritis of the knee, for intact ligamentous structures and patients with sedentary or light physical activities
Functional description
Femoral CoCrMo component of the Endo-Model Sled Prosthesis system designed to allow for tibial and femoral bone cuts with a minimum of bone removal preserving the hard subchondral bone. The femoral component design preserves bone substance and permits femoral resurfacing. Large radii of the surface distributes contact stress homogenously. Concave inner surface structure provides optimal bonding between implant and cement, includes two posts whose shape and alignment aid in positioning the sled.
