Intended purpose

The APEX Knee System PS Femur Cemented is a component of the APEX Primary Knee System intended to repair or replace the patient’s femoral knee joint or revision total knee replacement. This prosthesis is intended for cemented use only in the APEX Primary Knee System and may be used for the following conditions as appropriate: o Non-inflammatory degenerative joint disease, including osteoarthritis and avascular necrosis; o Rheumatoid arthritis; o Correction of functional deformity and o Revision procedures where other treatments or devices have failed.

Functional description

The APEX Knee System PS Femur Cemented component is designed for use in the APEX Primary Knee System only to replace the femoral condyles of the patient and articulate against tibial insert. The device retains a deep patella groove and offers 80 degrees of uninterrupted patella tracking along the trochlear groove. The non-porous coated femoral component is made from CoCr alloy and is used cemented only.
