Intended purpose

Used for replacing the femoral condyles (femoral component) during bicondylar replacement of the knee joint. Indicated for severe knee joint conditions that cannot be treated through other therapies: * Degenerative osteoarthritis * Rheumatoid arthritis * Posttraumatic arthritis * Symptomatic knee instability * Knee stiffness * Deformation of the knee joint

Functional description

A CoCrMo posterior stabilised fixed bearing femoral component for use with the posterior cruciate ligament resected. The device has an intercondylar box open to the medullary cavity with cam on the dorsal end. Together with the post on the Columbus PS or AS PS and PS gliding surface, this cam builds the cam/post mechanism to prevent any further gliding of the device in the anterior direction. Cement pockets with a depth of 1mm are provided on the cementing surface.
