Intended purpose

The implant is a component of the e.motion® System which is indicated for patients requiring primary or revision surgery. It is used as a component part of a human knee endoprosthesis in combination with e.motion mobile bearing knee endoprosthetic components. Indications: Severe knee joint conditions that cannot be treated through other therapies: - Degenerative osteoarthritis - Rheumatoid arthritis - Posttraumatic arthritis - Symptomatic knee instability - Knee stiffness - Deformation of the knee joint The surgeon can select the optimum solution for the patient from the various implant types of the knee systems, according to the severity of the condition. The surgeon is responsible for correctly establishing the indication.

e.motion® FP UC is a mobile bearing, floating platform ultra-congruent cemented component made from CoCrMo alloy. The floating platform concept preserves the posterior cruciate ligament and the collateral ligaments and restores the natural kinematics.
