For use of the Columbus AS PS, the PCL has to be resected. The device has an intercondylar box and a specially shaped cam on the dorsal end. Together with the post on the gliding surface, this cam builds the cam/post mechanism to prevent any further gliding of the device in the anterior direction. Made from CoCrMo with a multilayer coating system consisting of CrN-CrCN-ZrN which prevents the release of metal ions from the implant to avoid metal allergies in patients. For cemented use.
