Intended purpose
The APEX Primary Knee System Tibial Baseplate Non-Porous Cemented is a component of The APEX Primary Knee System intended to repair or replace the tibial condyles of the knee joint in a primary or revision total knee replacement. This prosthesis is intended for cemented use only in the Apex Primary Knee System and may be used for the following conditions, as appropriate: o Non-inflammatory degenerative joint disease, including osteoarthritis and avascular necrosis; o Rheumatoid arthritis; o Correction of functional deformity and o Revision procedures where other treatments or devices have failed.
Functional description
The APEX Primary Knee System Tibial Baseplate Non-Porous Cemented component is designed for use in the APEX Primary Knee System only. The non‐porous coated tibia component is designed to replace the tibial condyles of the patient and provides a platform to attach the articulating tibial insert. The device is made from CoCr and is used cemented only.
