Intended purpose

The MOTO Partial Knee System is intended to provide increased patient mobility and reduced pain by replacing the damaged knee joint, if there is evidence of sufficient sound bone to seat and support the components Partial replacement of the articulating surfaces of the knee is indicated when only one compartment of the joint is affected due to the compartmental primary degenerative or post-traumatic degenerative disease, previous tibial condyle or plateau fractures, deformity or revision of previous arthroplasty.

Functional description

The Moto Tibial Tray is manufactured from Ti-6Al-4V and is intended for cemented fixation. It is designed to replicate the anatomical shape and dimensions of a medial tibial condyle. Pegs allow primary stability of the device under AP and ML loads and the posterior keel is designed to optimize stability. Pockets for cementation are orientated at 45 degrees in the AP direction in order to maximise the surfaces of the lateral walls of the interfaces between the implant and cement.
