Intended purpose
Device intended to provide increased patient mobility and reduced pain by replacing the damaged knee joint, if there is evidence of sufficient sound bone to seat and support the components. Candidates for unicompartmental knee replacement are skeletally mature patients with a severely painful and/or severely disabled joint as a result of osteoarthritis, post-traumatic arthritis, rheumatoid polyarthritis, or primary implantation failure. In unicompartmental knee arthroplasty, only one compartment of the joint is affected (the medial or lateral compartment).
Functional description
The MOTO Medial Tibial Insert E-Cross is manufactured from E-CROSS polyethylene (Vitamin E Highly Crosslinked UHMWPE) and is part of the MOTO Partial Knee System. The fixed tibia inserts has a flat articulating surface designed for medial or lateral tibial components. The MOTO medial inserts are designed in order to be fixed on the tibia baseplate with a snapping mechanism.
