Intended purpose

A sterile tubular device designed to be implanted in an obstructed ureter (e.g., from stricture, compression, fibrosis, trauma) to maintain its patency allowing urine to drain from the renal pelvis to the bladder. It is available in single and customizable multi-length sizes; deployment and/or removal devices are often included (e.g., catheter, guidewire, suture). The devices can be used for up to 12 months.
