Intended purpose

The ResQPod is indicated for the treatment of non-traumatic cardiac arrest in adults. The ResQPod is an inspiratory impedance valve that is placed within existing respiratory circuits between the ventilation source and the airway or facemask. The ResQPod functions to lower intrathoracic pressure even further by selectively preventing air from being drawn into the chest during most decompressions. This combination of chest recoil and inspiratory impedance generates greater negative pressures, bringing more blood back to the heart. Improved blood return allows more blood to be circulated with the next compression.
