Intended purpose
A collection of sterile devices, the MAC Two-Lumen Central Venous Access Set with ARROWg+ard Blue Access Device is intended to permit venous access and catheter introduction to the central circulation. It may be inserted into the jugular, subclavian, or femoral veins. The ARROWg+ard antimicrobial coating is intended to provide protection against catheter-related infections.
Functional description
Set consists of a two-lumen indwelling catheter and ancillary components for insertion. It combines the access of a sheath introducer with the high-flow lumens of a central line. The hemostasis valve allows easy access for additional devices, such as a thermodilution catheter or Arrow MAC Companion Catheter. The 9 French distal lumen accommodates large fluid volumes, while the 12-gauge proximal lumen provides a separate access for incompatible fluid administration.
