Intended purpose
The device intended use is the prevention of pulmonary embolism during high thromboembolic risk surgical procedures in patients with recent history of deep vein thrombosis or pulmonary embolism
Functional description
The ALN Vena Cava Filter is made of nine 316 LVM stainless steel strands. Six strands are fitted with hooks for anchoring in the vena cava. The other three strands serve to centre the filter inside the vena cava.
