The CERTAS Plus Programmable Valve is an implantable device that provides constant intraventricular pressure and drainage of CSF for the management of hydrocephalus

Functional description

The CODMAN CERTAS Plus valve can be set to eight different settings for constant intraventricular pressure and drainage of CSF. The siphonguard component prevents excessive drainage of CSF by the system. The pack includes the valve, siphonguard, 14cm Ventricular catheter, unitized 120cm Distal catheter and accessories: priming adaptor, right angle adaptor. The pressure of the valve is set preoperatively and can be noninvasively changed by using the CODMAN CERTAS Tool Kits.
