Split tubular devices inserted into nasal cavities function by mechanically expanding the nasal passages to improve airflow. These devices are used to treat nasal disorders such as alar collapse, deviated septum, scarred nostrils and narrow nostrils, with the clinical aim of reducing snoring and sleep apnoea whilst promoting nasal breathing.
