Overtubes are devices used in conjunction with an endoscope for foreign body removal or endoscopic procedures requiring multiple insertions of the endoscope into the lower or upper gastrointestinal tract. By inflating a balloon on the tip of the overtube, it anchors the device in the small intestine, allowing the endoscope to be smoothly inserted to reach areas for diagnosis, biopsy and treatment of small intestine lesions.
