Eye patches are devices intended to close or cover one or both eyes for the purpose of protecting the eye after a procedure or as part of ophthalmic therapeutic intervention. They are used to shield the eye from external contaminants and light exposure following eye surgery, trauma, or other ophthalmic procedures to aid healing, and also to facilitate treatment of amblyopia, diplopia, or serve as occluders for vision assessments and visual field testing.
