Femoral stem centralisers are small sterile implantable devices inserted after cement insertion and prior to or in conjunction with the stem prosthesis to centralise and stabilise the prosthesis tip within the medullary canal. These devices are used during the implantation of cemented femoral stem prostheses in hip replacement surgery.
