Flexible video rhinolaryngoscopes are endoscopes with a flexible inserted portion designed for visual examination of the nasal passages, paranasal sinuses, pharynx, nasopharynx and larynx, inserted through the mouth or nostril, with anatomical images transmitted to a monitor via a video system containing an image sensor chip at the distal end. These devices are used during ear/nose/throat procedures and provide optical visualisation of and therapeutic access to the upper airway.
