High-flow heated humidifiers are mains-powered devices that deliver high-flow heated and humidified respiratory gases (typically up to 50 L/min) via a gas flow generator, heating element, humidification chamber, and tubing set to patients via nasal, oral, or tracheostomy interfaces. These devices are used to treat spontaneously breathing patients with respiratory disorders such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, bronchiectasis, and mucositis in both hospital and home settings.
