Trial humeral head prostheses are temporary copies of final humeral head implants used intraoperatively to validate the proper size, orientation and positioning of the permanent prosthesis and verify that the implant site has been prepared to the correct dimensions. These devices are used during shoulder or elbow arthroplasty or trauma surgeries to evaluate the patient's joint surface anatomy following bone preparation and facilitate determination of appropriate implant size.
