Mandibular advancement devices are removable intraoral appliances designed to advance the lower jaw and maintain this position during sleep, thereby opening the airway to reduce or eliminate snoring. These devices are used in adults aged 18 years and over to reduce and alleviate snoring and mild to moderate obstructive sleep apnoea during sleep.
