Negative-pressure wound therapy system canisters are components used with reusable therapy units and disposable devices to form negative pressure therapy systems. These devices are used on open wounds including chronic, acute, traumatic, and dehisced wounds, partial-thickness burns, and various ulcers to promote wound healing by preparing the wound bed and removing exudate, and on closed surgical incisions to manage the environment and remove drainage following sutured or stapled closure.
