Extraoral orthodontic headgears are dental devices used in conjunction with orthodontic appliances to exert pressure on the teeth or jaws from outside the mouth, typically consisting of a strap that wraps around the patient's neck or head with an inner bow portion fastened to the intra-oral appliance, or utilising rests on the chin and forehead in reverse pull configurations. These devices are intended to bring individual teeth, groups of teeth, or entire arches forward.
