Bone fixation plates are metallic implants attached to fractured bone fragments with screws to bridge, stabilise and shield fracture sites during healing. These plates are used to treat traumatic or pathological orthopaedic fractures, malalignments, arthrodesis, reconstructive surgery and non-unions across various skeletal sites including the proximal humerus and facial skeleton.
