Pacing lead suture sleeves are silicone tubes placed over leads to protect the lead body insulation from being cut during fixation of the lead with surgical suture. These devices are used to minimise cardiac lead movement by anchoring it to subcutaneous tissue , and are employed in the management of implanted cardiac pacing systems.
