Humeral components are prosthetic devices designed to replace or reconstruct the proximal humerus in shoulder joint replacement procedures, available for partial, total, primary, or revision applications. These devices are used to treat severe pain and disability arising from degenerative joint disease, rheumatoid arthritis, proximal humeral fractures, avascular necrosis of the humeral head, and failed primary implants where other treatment options are not suitable.
