Trial joint replacement implants are reusable or single-use instruments that mimic the final orthopaedic implant to allow surgeons to verify that the implant will work correctly once implanted. These devices are used to trial joint tension and validate the proper size of the orthopaedic prosthesis prior to implanting the final hip prosthesis.
