Radiological general-body positioning device

Patient positioning and immobilisation devices comprise frames, boards, cushions, or preformed pads designed to facilitate adequate positioning and immobilisation of a patient's body part during diagnostic imaging procedures, image-guided surgical or interventional procedures, and radiation therapy procedures. Immobilisation is required typically when movement on behalf of the patient would interfere with the procedure or could endanger the patient.
