Subdermal needle electrode

Subdermal needle electrodes are needle-tipped devices inserted into relevant body tissues and connected to neuro-electrophysiological monitoring systems to transmit electrical signals between the system and the human body or collect local electrical signals from the body to the system. These electrodes are used to record biopotential signals such as electromyography and electroencephalography during procedures including orthopaedic spinal surgery, where they monitor nerve function to ensure nerve branch patency is maintained.
