Emergency resuscitation trolleys are wheeled trolleys specially designed for emergency resuscitation , and typically contain a defibrillator, ECG monitor, pulmonary resuscitator, backboard for external cardiac compression, surgical supplies, drugs and various other instruments and accessories necessary for initiating cardiopulmonary resuscitation . These devices are used following cardiac arrest to enable rapid access to equipment and supplies necessary for cardiopulmonary resuscitation .
